Details: On February 27, 2009,  the EMU-AAUP presented on behalf of the Michigan Conference of the AAUP at the Higher Education Appropriation Subcommittee Hearings which were held at Eastern Michigan University. Professor Howard Bunsis, Treasurer of the EMU-AAUP and the National AAUP, spoke on the importance of universities hiring more full time tenure track faculty members.  His remarks concluded that:
•        Higher Ed has proven economic returns
